Full Moon Fiasco 86 in Review

We wrapped up this year with our annual Festivus ride. Some 50+ riders rolled into Eich's, many donning holiday attire. There were many ugly holiday sweaters, some Santa garb, some elves and some outfits I really don't know what they were. Jeff must have been feeling all sentimental cause he bought all us full moon riders a round at Eich's before we headed out.

A few words on Eich's -- we have started all our rides there since the very beginning. I really cannot imagine doing it anywhere else. The location is great, it usually has enough room to accommodate our group, and well, Eich's really is a pub with personality and uniquely Sandpoint. So, it is a lot like this little bike club. And Jeff and the staff do an amazing job of accommodating us once a month, which is not always an easy task when it means a large group of riders compounding an already busy venue. Lastly, there is a fair amount of red tape, paperwork, logistics, planning, fees and organizing that goes into making these rides happen. Jeff shoulders a fair amount of those responsibilities. So, continue to frequent Eich's and maybe tell them you appreciate all their support.

Back to the last ride, it was a beautiful evening as we made a stroll through West Sand. We eventually landed at Connie's for the evening. There we found out FBC Sandpoint festivus tree sitting by the fireplace. Everyone placed their finely wrapped presents around the pole for our gift exchange. We drank holiday cheer, played tunes on the jute box, made some new friends and eventually opened gifts. It was a spirited night. Many thanks to the staff at Connie's: Lindsay, Kim and Candy. And thanks to the FBC Sandpoint elves who helped pass out gifts: Jane, Bryn and Melissa.

As far as I remember, no one had to much cheer and made a fool of themselves...again as far as I remember...
