Full Moon Fasco 82

Summer is winding down...

When: Mon, Aug 27th @8pm
Where: Eich's
Theme: Rock Your Bike

You should have heard by now, we have been holding a fundraiser to get a new apparatus to provide tunes on our monthly rides. If not, you can read about it HERE. We will be selling raffle tickets (and taking general donations) for the bike and Shotz Ski before the ride at Eich's. Then we will draw winners at our ride destination.

So, in honor of all this musicness, our theme is Rock Your Bike. Now before you get pissed and punch your computer wondering what kinda theme that is supposed to be, let me talk ya down. You know how you have a favorite band? And if you don't like music, well, you should check your pulse and make sure you are alive. Anyways, we all have have that band or music that speaks to us, whatever it may be. So, represent that on the ride. Concert shirts, KISS makeup, band patches, MC Hammer pants, big hair...would be some ideas. We will celebrate music as we roll the last ride of the summer months.

Full Moon Fiasco 81 in Review

Well, that was some good summer fun! Some 250+ riders showed up for the last ride, "Get Lei'd." There were so many people in hawaiian shirts, shorts and leis, you might think we were on some tropical island and not in North Idaho.

Anyway, we did a jaunt through South Sand, then hit the Sagle Bike Path enroute to the Long Bridge Grill. They have also been a special place for FBC Sandpoint. Always, always so welcoming, thoughtful and they just have a damn good venue for all of us to socialize. Big thanks to Dan and the crew for their work.

As usual, we had riders from lots of places outside Sandpoint. Of particular note, were some ride from Bike MS, who just happened to be holding over in Sandpoint for the night on the ride across the country.

Lastly, on our 81st ride, we managed to log some "firsts." The first "first" was a train blowing its horn at the riders as we rode along next to him on the Sagle Bike Path. You could tell he was muffling the horn and giving us a kind train conductor approval. That was pretty cool. The second "first" was...damn, I don't remember now. There were 2 more "firsts" if memory serves. But that is all she is serving right now. Oh well, maybe it will come later.
