Full Moon Fiasco II

March Full Moon Fiasco II is right around the corner.

When: Thurs, Mar 8th @ 8pm
Where: Eichardt's

I struggled with this start time for 2 reasons.  First, Thursdays are a special night at Eich's...dollar beers!  Now this fun within the fun doesn't start until 8pm.  Second, daylight savings starts 3 days after our ride and with summer comes longer days and later sunsets.  So, our Fiasco start times would have to be moved later anyways (remember these are Full Moon rides).

What I'm saying is ALL FIASCO RIDES WILL START AT 8PM UNTIL DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ENDS.

Theme?  St Patty's Day.  Normally I consider this "amateur night," but nonetheless a fitting theme for a FBC ride.  So, break out your green.

There will be a round-about in the route, some green beer, a "stop" and a kick ass prize for best dressed....remember bike decorations earn you extra points.

Addition: Don't forget to budget $1 for a spoke card to show the kids...

Full Moon Fiasco I in Review

Hell ya FBC Sandpoint!!  We had 20 riders hit the streets for our first Full Moon Fiasco.  The theme was Party Gras.  After fueling at Eichs, we hit the road about 7:45.  The ground was white and big flakes were floating all around.  The weather was awesome for a winter ride...although the moon never made an appearance.

We did a route through the city of Sandpoint that included a sweet round about loop.  We had a couple cars stop and ask what we were doing.  I guess 20 people bundled up and riding in the snow at night is not a common occurrence.

Then we crashed the Eureka Annex.  They were having a dodge ball night.  FBCers took on some serious ballers.  After 3 sets, it was clear that FBC Lifetime Member for Life Matt was some sort of ninja.  He was flying around and no one could hit him with a ball.  Playing makes you thirsty though, so we mounted up one last time and headed to Connie's Lounge, the final destination.

Awards for best dressed were given and the Connie's staff ensured we were properly refueled.

No doubt the bar has been set high for the next ride.  Check back for details about the next Full Moon Fiasco or just enter your email address in that little box in the upper left hand corner to receive automatic updates.

As our fellow FBCers in Chicago say, "Whether snow, sleet, rain, flood, or just cold as shit...though sometimes late, we never cancel a ride."
